The purchase process is directly between the Buyer and the Artist. Artleby.biz facilitates the process but is not a party to the transaction, nor does Artleby.biz take any commission on the sale. The prospective buyer provides his/her email address, together with any questions, via the on-line purchase form to the artist or arts organization. The artist contacts the buyer by email and agrees on the the price, shipping method and costs, insurance and any sales tax. They also agree whether to use the services of an escrow company who releases payment when delivery is accepted. If a direct transaction is agreed, the artist or gallery/org logs on to their Premium or Business Paypaltm account, selects 'Request Money' and 'Create Invoice' and emails the Invoice to the buyer. The buyer , on receipt of the emailed Paypaltm invoice, is provided the option, by Paypaltm, of paying by any Major Credit card. The buyer does not have to have a Paypaltm account.
